Everyone has a different pain threshold so it feels different for everyone. It is affected by location, duration and general health. The best way to approach getting a tattoo is to get a good night's sleep, don't drink alcohol the night before, eat ahead of your appointment and try to relax.
A small tattoo can take as little as 10-15 minutes and a full back piece can take multiple day sits. It very much depends on the size and amount of detail in the design you're after. If you contact us with a description of what you want then we can give you an idea of how long it will take and what it will cost.
This varies from person to person but sensitive areas tend to include ribs, genitals, stomach, palms of hands, feet, throat, armpit and fingers.
Tattoos are charged at an hourly rate of £70. Anything taking under half an hour falls into our minimum charge category, which is £40. The best way to get price for your tattoo is to send us a picture of approximately what you'd like along with rough sizing. We can then provide an accurate price. Your tattoo will not cost you more than this quote when you come to us.
Many of our customers approach us with an image or design that they want us to turn into a tattoo for them. We usually re-draw these and make them more unique. Alternatively, if a customer wants something created, they usually give some ideas of the elements they want to include, and we do the rest.
You will be provided with aftercare advice when you attend your appointment. Please ensure that you follow this carefully.
You can shower but we do not recommend soaking your tattoo, so advise against baths, swimming, hot tubs or any other extended submersion for at least the first 1-2 weeks after having your tattoo.

If you feel unwell at any point during your tattoo, please tell us and we will take good care of you. Do not suffer in silence!
We would not generally recommend that you get a tattoo if you are unwell. However, if you are just getting over a cold or have a very mild illness then it may be OK to go ahead with your tattoo. Get in touch with us and we can provide advice based on your personal circumstance.
As our artists are all self-employed, if you do not show up for an appointment, they don't get paid, and they will have already spent time preparing your design. This is why we will usually request a deposit which is non-refundable if you fail to show up on the day. However, if you give us at least 48 hours notice we will be able to transfer your deposit to another slot.
We are an open plan shop, but we have privacy screens available on request. If you contact us before your tattoo, we can also give advice on what clothing to wear so that minimal skin is exposed.
